programming 2005-2006 | ten years in the "media of space"

The GNO has as organic relationship with notions of space. Our centre is in Sudbury while our members are everywhere in Ontario. “Media of Space” is therefore a fitting theme for our tenth anniversary programming. It expresses our rapport with our members and with contemporary artistic practises all across our vast country. With our 10th year, we will achieve a first: a programme of six exhibitions, three of which have members of the GNO as curators. This is undeniable proof of our progress since 1995. Marc Audette, Lisa Fitzgibbons and Cheryl Rondeau, all from Toronto, have established our programming for 2005-2006 and will act as curators for artists from Ottawa, Alexandria, Thunder Bay, Montréal and France.
