Through the links it establishes with artists in all corners of the province, the GNO deals with distances every day. Naturally, travel becomes a notion of interest and in fact, the GNO has been prospecting it for some time. Just as naturally, this train of thought leads to expanded horizons, in search of new places and collaborations with distant communities. This year the GNO once again bursts forth from its walls, leaving familiar terrain for less familiar terrain, taking side roads and alleyways, in search of lesser known or neglected spaces or practices… Once again, “the media of space” are intrinsic to the presentation of the works.
