Human resources at the GNO are limited to two full-time positions. As Executive Director, Danielle Tremblay is responsible for artistic direction and administration and Nicole Poulin as Assistant Administrator and Communications Officer.

To best reflect the GNO's provincial mandate, the Board of Directors includes visual artists from all parts of the province. This geographical particularity means that most meetings are held by teleconference and a few annual meetings in person. Directors are recruited according to the needs of the centre, their expertise and interests, as well as the needs that stem from the GNO's artistic orientation.

With the Executive Director, four members of the GNO oversee the development of the GNO's artistic orientation, select exhibits and projects and actively solicit curators and artists.
